This is an enhanced advisory service which has been developed in response to clients preferring advice from people who understand their specific needs and is for:

• People with physical disabilities

• People with mental health issues

• Carers of disabled people

It is recognised that people who have like experiences are more able to relate to the issues being experienced by their peers and therefore able to offer more authentic empathy and understanding. Our peer advisors have been recruited for their first hand knowledge and experience of their particular client group, so you can be confident their advice and support is both relevant and appropriate.

The peer advisors offer advice and information on a whole range of subjects, from housing advice to the Disability Discrimination Act. Their aim is provide each client with assistance and support on all rights and responsibilities, whilst offering an empathetic approach.
